Citizen Science The
Grange Insurance Audubon Center will enlist citizens in the
community to help us work towards our conservation goals.
There will be many opportunities to become scientists with
the education staff and volunteers at the Center.
Citizen Science programs will provide
needed data identified in our Scioto River– Greenlawn
Important Bird Area (IBA) Conservation Plan. Participants
will be involved in projects to reduce the threats to the
IBA and increase biodiversity. Some examples of citizen science
programs are:
- Monitoring bird and wildlife populations
- Researching and analyzing threat levels
to the IBA
- Projects to improve water quality of
the Scioto River
- Projects to protect Audubon At-Risk
Bird Species and Common Birds in Decline
